Winter Pruning: Less, But With Conviction
The first years I pruned out of fear. Now I prune out of arithmetic: every branch left is a branch of fruit I can actually thin later.
Cut to outward-facing buds. Remove anything crossing the middle. Step back twice as often as feels reasonable.
